If a proposal looks to good to be true, it probably is

I was recently reading a report of an English woman who had been defrauded and sued the fraudster to get her money back. Lord Wright commented: "the world is left uncertain whether to wonder more at the greed or the credulity of the victims" (Myers -v- Elman (1940) AC282 at 312). If a proposal looks to good to be true, it probably is.
