Consultant, Private Client
Since qualifying in 1975, Gerry has spent much of his career as
a general legal practitioner advising clients on residential and
commercial property matters. He also uses his extensive experience
and broad knowledge and understanding of the law to guide clients
on their options regarding the administration of executry
estates.
Gerry is also a key member of our private client team which
advises individuals and families and identifies straightforward and
practical solutions to seemingly complex problems in connection
with Wills, estate planning and associated matters.
Gerry was formerly a partner of Menzies Dougal, which merged
with Gillespie Macandrew in 2005. He is currently Moderator
presiding over the Society of High Constables of Edinburgh, being a
civic institution founded in 1611. His other outside interests
include golf and despite his age(!), Gerry still plays (he informs
us!) team squash in local leagues.
