Mike Gascoigne

Since qualifying in 1972, Mike has advised a wide range of clients who have interests in rural Scotland -  such as farming, forestry, renewable energy schemes, minerals, fishing, shooting, stalking, country hotels, leisure facilities, holiday businesses, fish farming, crofting, etc.   Clients for whom he acts range from major country estate proprietors to holiday cottage owners, from substantial owner-occupier farming businesses to croft tenants and from prime salmon river beat proprietors to the day pass angler.  

Mike is an accredited specialist in Agricultural Law and the firm's specialist Consultant in agricultural and crofting law.  He is convenor of the Rural Affairs Committee of the Law Society of Scotland and he is a member of the WS Society, the Agricultural Law Association and the Crofting Law Group.  

He has been a regular speaker at agricultural and rural affairs conferences organised by the Law Society of Scotland, the WS Society and the Agricultural Law Association.   He also a regular contributor of articles in the Scottish farming press.

His interests away from work include motor sport administration, country pursuits and gardening and he works on a voluntary basis on behalf of several charities.
