Lindsay Bryce MacKay

Senior Solicitor

Lindsay joined the firm in 2015 as a Senior Solicitor based in our Perth office.

Working in the Private Client team, she advises on a variety of issues of relevance to individuals and their families, for example the administration of deceased estates (including those with an international dimension) and the preparation of Wills and Powers of Attorney.

Lindsay also advises on planning for succession, which may include the provision of advice on Inheritance Tax and the use of trusts for tax planning or asset protection.

Lindsay has recently achieved the STEP Diploma in Tax and Estate Planning, having received a Distinction level pass in each of her exams. 

Sector Experience

Based in the Perth office, Lindsay has particular experience in advising farming families on their succession planning needs. Lindsay also has an interest in cross-border issues, and has recently been involved in the provision of advice to non-UK domiciles on the potential changes to the Inheritance Tax treatment of UK residential property.

Memberships and Accreditations

Lindsay is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. She has received three STEP Worldwide Excellence Awards for achieving the highest marks in each of the STEP Advanced Certificate in Wills and Executries: Law and Practice (Scotland), the STEP Advanced Certificate in Trusts: Law and Practice (Scotland) and the STEP Advanced Certificate in Taxation of Trusts and Estates (Scotland).
