Corporate social responsibility
At Gillespie Macandrew we’ve a long and proud history of community involvement and are committed to making a positive impact towards the diverse cultures, people and communities in which we live, learn and work.
We support a variety of causes through community projects and associations, many of which have clear and tangible educational, cultural and legal benefits. We also, where possible, support charities through pro bono work at a strategic and operational level, which strive to address social issues that generally don’t receive government or corporate funding.
As a firm we give 1% of pre-tax profits, along with time to community investment related activities every year, we also give every single member of the firm a day to volunteer to support local causes.
Our CSR partnerships include two children’s charities, The Rock Trust and Children in Scotland and we’ve developed a programme of fundraising, community projects and legal support projects that help benefit the charities themselves as well as the great work that they do in the community.
We also provide Children in Scotland’s members and Veterans Scotland charity members with a free legal helpline as well as regular update sessions to ensure they have access to the legal guidance they require on a day to day basis.
