Compulsory purchase procedures

The law and practice of Compulsory Purchase Orders (“CPOs”) can be divided into two areas:

  • The process of taking land or rights under the order
  • Compensation for the taking of the land/rights

We cover both areas, and have experience of acting for authorities exercising those powers, as well as those who wish to object and those who are entitled to compensation. CPO issues are often complex and require a multi-disciplinary approach. We have strong working partnerships with surveyors and other professionals to get you the best possible result.
