Associate – Corporate

Gillespie Macandrew is currently recruiting a Corporate/Commercial Associate to join our Corporate team.

The successful candidate will become involved in a varied range of work which could include dealing with M&A and restructuring, investments, partnerships, company set up and company secretarial compliance as well as commercial contracts and data protection. There is opportunity for the successful candidate to build their career in corporate and commercial law acting for a range of clients from large companies to SMEs and to gain exposure to work for clients of the firm’s market-leading sectors including energy and land and rural business.

The successful candidate will be an excellent team player and will be comfortable supervising the work of more junior team members.

This role requires a highly motivated, collaborative and commercially minded lawyer with excellent technical and communication skills and a strong client focussed approach. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage competing priorities across a varied workload.

The successful candidate is likely to have gained at least 5 years’ PQE in a corporate/commercial role. Applications are encouraged from inhouse lawyers or those currently working at a law firm.
