Our paid summer internship programme is aimed at Scots Law or dual qualification students who are currently in their 3rd year at university or 1st year of an accelerated LLB, who are looking to secure a traineeship commencing in 2021.
Running for a period of 4 weeks over July/August 2019 in our Edinburgh office, our summer internships will provide you with the opportunity to develop your legal skills and gain valuable practical work experience in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
You will be allocated to a specific legal team throughout the duration of your internship, allowing you to fully immerse yourself into live client projects. All of our students are assigned a “buddy” for day to day support as well as a mentor to assign your tasks.
This is an excellent way to broaden your network of professional connections and feel fully supported during your internship. We understand that your past work experience may be limited.
There will be opportunities in many of our teams, including:
- Land & Rural Business
- Private Client
- Energy, Strategic Land & Natural Resources
- Commercial Property
- Residential Property
- Dispute Resolution
If you are successful in gaining a summer internship and wish to apply for a traineeship with us, you will be guaranteed to get through to the 1st stage of our traineeship recruitment process. This will take place around October 2019, for traineeships commencing in September 2021.
