Coronavirus: A message from our CEO
In response to the continued escalation of the situation regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus), Gillespie Macandrew is following Government guidance to do everything necessary to delay the spread of the virus. With the most recent guidance recommending a far greater degree of home working, we want to assure all of our clients and contacts that we have an IT platform which supports working remotely and are therefore ready to provide an ongoing service to our clients as much as possible on a business as usual basis.
In practical terms, this means correspondence by email and telephone remains as normal, though we ask that you use direct dial numbers (rather than general switchboard numbers) to speak to our legal advisers and business team members. These are available on our website at www.gillespiemacandrew.co.uk
Our primary concern is of course the health and wellbeing of our clients, staff, suppliers and communities. We have therefore taken the following steps:
- We have cancelled all of our upcoming events and have postponed the planning of any new events until further notice
- We are only holding critical face to face client meetings, with the majority taking place by phone or video conference
- While our offices remain open at present, increasingly staff are working from home - we are prepared should the Government recommend offices are to close
- All of our staff fully understand the symptoms and criteria for self-isolating and we are observing hygiene protocols carefully
We will continue to follow the ever changing situation and advice, which may mean that further adjustments are necessary to the protocols set out above.
We are here to support you and your business throughout this extremely challenging time.
