Dionne gained her LLB with distinction from Napier University after studying on a part-time basis whilst working for a city centre law firm, assisting in their Property Sales, Marketing and Commercial Property departments before completing her Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Edinburgh.
Between March 2019 and October 2021, Dionne was based within the Sheriffdom of Tayside, Central and Fife, practicing a wide variety of general litigation including debt recovery, recovery of possession, contract disputes, property disputes, family law and guardianship orders. She has acted for a wide variety of clients such as individuals, companies and partnerships and has represented clients in both the Sheriff Court and First-tier Tribunal for Scotland.
Prior to working for Gillespie Macandrew, Dionne undertook a large volume of family Legal Aid work. As a result, she has worked with a variety of clients from all different backgrounds and cultures, from local individuals to refugees. She has advised clients on family matters that involve domestic abuse and the need for protective orders such as interdict and non-harassment orders.
Dionne’s approach to client care is to be personable, friendly and re-assuring with the ability to think commercially when required.
