Gordon specialises in planning and compulsory purchase work and is experienced in all aspects of complex work. He has acted for both applicants/promoters and objectors.
Gordon is experienced in steering clients through the entire planning process including the review of planning applications and EIA reports, drafting and negotiation statutory agreements, inquiries and legal challenges, including advising clients on defending enforcement notices on high profile listed buildings.
Gordon has expertise in coordinating the legal due diligence for clients investing in UK Real Estate projects including the retail park sector and the emerging purpose-built student accommodation and build-to-rent sectors.
Gordon has previously spent periods of time within local authority planning and litigation teams and he also trained as a procurator fiscal. These experiences give him a unique insight into issues facing both private and public sector clients in planning and dispute resolution matters.
