Ruth works with clients across multiple sectors, including those in the healthcare, media, music and entertainment, technology and creative industry, advising on commercial contracts, including supply, licensing, distribution and manufacturing, as well as brand protection and intellectual property matters. Ruth was part of the legal team involved in providing advice and guidance to the organising committee for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games giving her a unique perspective on working in-house for a multinational sporting organisation. This experience enables her to better understand her clients’ needs and expectations and provide advice that is clear, practical and proactive.
Ruth has developed a particular interest in data protection matters and is certified by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in Data Protection Law. She provides practical advice to clients on obligations under data protection laws as well as data protection matters arising out of commercial arrangements.
