Alison Pryde

Senior Tax Manager

Alison is a Senior Tax Manager within the Private Client team.

Alison has worked in tax for over twenty years having graduated with a Law degree but choosing to train in tax with a Big Four accountancy firm.   She has acted for a varied allocation of clients including high net worth individuals, entrepreneurs, trusts, partnerships and landed estates

Alison has advised on a wide range of personal and business tax issues with a view to protecting and maximising family wealth by minimising Capital Gains Tax and securing Inheritance Tax reliefs.   She has advised on share acquisitions and disposals and takes a particular interest in advising shareholders from the early days of a company through to disposal.  Alison has considerable experience in Inheritance Tax planning ranging from advising on the use of trusts to minimise liability to tax and advising on the availability of Business Property Relief.   Property tax issues, whether arising from our Rural Property or Residential teams are another area of expertise.

In addition to advising clients on taxes including Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax and Land and Buildings Transaction Tax she is responsible for the management of the tax return team.  Tax compliance is more critical than ever as HMRC is increasingly focussing on the tax gap and Alison works with her clients to ensure that they are compliant with their obligations under the self-assessment regime.  Alison has considerable experience in assisting individuals with HMRC enquiries and the making of voluntary disclosures to HMRC.

Alison is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
