Alan has a particular interest in crofting law, renewable energy schemes and mineral extraction. He also has significant experience in community development projects.
Alan is regularly involved in the sale and purchase of commercial forestry, as well as farms, estates and salmon fishings. He also advises a number of clients on ongoing management issues such as agricultural holdings, crofting, business structuring and succession planning. Alan provides specialist advice in respect of agricultural holdings and crofting to a major utility company and a range of renewable energy developers as well as to private landowners.
