Alasdair is a solicitor in our Land & Rural Businesses team and advises clients on a range of rural property matters including land management, forestry, crofts, renewables, and estate management.

Alasdair completed his Scots Law LLB at the University of Dundee, with a year at Leiden University in the Netherlands, and his Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Edinburgh. Alasdair joined Gillespie Macandrew in 2021 as a trainee solicitor and qualified into the Land and Rural Business team as a solicitor in 2023.

Originally from Strathspey in the Highlands, Alasdair has complemented knowledge of the rural sector from his upbringing and gained experience in conveyancing and commercial matters in the rural and renewable energy sectors during his traineeship.
