Leading Scottish law firm, Gillespie Macandrew has promoted experienced rural lawyer Lois Newton to partner. Lois joined the firm as a trainee in 2010 and participated in the firm’s Training Academy. Lois manages a wide range of rural matters on behalf of the firm’s farming and landed estate clients and is a member of the firm’s sustainability committee.
Gillespie Macandrew’s Land & Rural Business team is a leading advisor to the rural sector advising estate owners, farmers and rural businesses on a property, succession, tax, forestry, renewable energy and natural capital. The team is consistently ranked in the top tier by the legal directories and this latest appointment will bring the number of partners in the team to six.
