Harry Donnelly
Solicitor, Private Client
Harry is a Solicitor and Notary Public in our private client team. He advises on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious private client matters.
On the contentious side, Harry acts for clients who are engaged in disputes involving trusts and estates. This includes challenges to the validity and interpretation of Wills; disputes over lifetime gifts and transfers (including those made using a Power of Attorney); disagreements relating to claims for Legal Rights; and conflicts between executors, beneficiaries, and other interested parties. Harry advises clients bringing such claims, as well as those defending them.
His non-contentious practice includes advising on Wills and Powers of Attorney for clients of all types, including high-net worth individuals and business-owners; planning for Inheritance Tax and other succession-planning issues; and the administration of executry estates.
Harry completed his LLB and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Edinburgh, winning the Diploma prizes in Civil Court Practice and Conveyancing. His articles on contentious trusts and tenancy possession proceedings have been published in academic journals.
Harry is currently working towards completing the STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates (Scotland).
