Lorna is a Partner in the Land and Rural Business team with significant experience dealing with large and complex land and estate acquisitions and sales (including forestry and natural capital transactions), acting for both private individuals and corporate entities, and frequently dealing with transactions valued in the multi millions.

In addition, Lorna acts for multiple landed estates in Scotland advising on a broad range of rural matters including forestry, agricultural holdings, crofting law, and sporting interests, with particular focus on natural capital/carbon credits, succession planning/restructuring and associated tax planning issues. Having gained her STEP Diploma in Tax and Estate Planning (Scotland) in June 2019 she also works closely with the firm’s private client and tax team, and always aims to provide clear, concise and pragmatic advice to help the clients achieve their goals.
