Caitlin is a Partner in our Residential Property team, having joined the firm as a Solicitor in 2016.
Caitlin has extensive experience advising clients on all aspects of Residential Conveyancing including sales, purchases, remortgages, security work and transfers of titles. Caitlin works on a broad range of transactions across Scotland and particularly values supporting clients at every stage of their lives, from purchasing their first home to upsizing, relocating or later‑life downsizing. She also collaborates closely with our Estate Agency team to support the marketing and sale of properties throughout Edinburgh and the Lothians.
Caitlin is a Non-Executive Director on the Board of the ESPC, having been appointed in November 2024. Caitlin regularly contributes to the ESPC Legal Expert sessions as well as ESPC Seminars for prospective buyers and sellers. Caitlin also represents Gillespie Macandrew on the ESPC Forum and serves as the firm’s EPSC Charter Champion. Caitlin holds a SPC Property Practice Certification from the ESPC and Law Society of Scotland.
Alongside her client work, Caitlin has a strong commitment to supporting the next generation of solicitors. Caitlin tutored on the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Edinburgh for 5 years and currently mentors Trainees within the firm’s Training programme.
Known for her approachable and reassuring manner, Caitlin offers clear, practical guidance throughout the conveyancing process and is regularly recommended by clients who value her friendly, supportive and client‑focused approach.
