Gillespie Macandrew completed new build plot sales worth over £250m in 2021, representing almost 10% of all private new build house sales in Scotland.
The Firm’s total plot sales reservations reached 1471 against 822 the previous year, which included a period of standstill for the construction industry in spring 2020. The increase can be attributed to a return to pre-pandemic activity levels as well as continued investment in the firm’s housebuilding team and the strength of its reputation among major UK housebuilders.
Harry Smith, Head of Housebuilder and Construction at Gillespie Macandrew, commented: “Despite the ongoing challenges facing the housebuilding sector, 2021 was a record year in terms of delivery for our clients. We continue to act for some of the largest and most active housebuilders in the UK and we remain positive that the market will continue to grow.”
Gillespie Macandrew’s housebuilder team undertakes negotiations and delivery on strategic land acquisition, infrastructure requirements and new build sales across Scotland.
